I am currently looking to rent a car again, and when this company appeared in my search, I was reminded that I never shared my previous experience. I feel it is important to do so, as it may be useful for other customers. My rental experience was very disappointing. When returning the vehicle, I had filled the fuel tank, but because the level appeared slightly below the line, the staff refused to accept it. I was told I either had to go outside the airport to refill the tank myself or allow them to deduct 200 baht from my deposit. I went outside to check the price, only to find that the fuel needed cost around 60 baht, which made the situation feel unnecessarily strict and unreasonable. More concerning was how pre-existing damage was handled. Despite having full insurance, I was initially told that scratches on the car were my responsibility. I had to spend extra time explaining that the damage was already present at pickup while staff contacted others to verify it. They eventually confirmed the scratches were pre-existing, but the delay caused significant stress while I was trying to catch a flight. In addition, the overall customer service was very poor—there was no friendliness, assistance, or professionalism during the interaction, which further added to the negative experience. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company and would advise others to exercise caution when considering a rental here.

Pathetic service. Car was 160k on the odometer, engine issues. WhatsApp support was so bad. Engine was cutting off and very low power. When complained about it, they tried to upsell and started blaming it on the low power engine. I mean yes it was the cheapest model, thought easier for an island but engine cutting off is because of the age of the car not the model. How can such an old car be in service for a rental? Then said we can deliver an upgraded car for an extra fees. Their own car was a run down old car with engine issues. Made my peace with it. I usually don’t like posting bad reviews but then when I dropped the car, the attitude of the lady there was straight up rude. That was the nail in the coffin for me. Lady in the picture. I don’t know if she had a fight at home before work but I’m not here to deal with your anger issues. I also answered in a way she deserved and walked off. I wish I recorded her facial expressions when talking. It was 7 AM in the morning. I don’t know how this company got this high rating but personally my rating will be 0/100.

Our family rented a car from ThaiRent a Car. The rental process was smooth and predictable. Communication was easy and helpful throughout our rental time. Check out and rental car return was efficient. Shout out to Wanisara Pitaktham. She really helped us and went above and beyond what was expected to make our holiday memorable!

We went for the mystery option and got lucky with a SUV which was great for battling some of the pot hole roads and high incline hills. Very easy to use pick up and drop off service with friendly staff. Definitely worth hiring a car if you can (versus getting taxis everywhere) if you want to explore the island.

The car was very good. I took a wild card surprise car. I got Toyota Corolla. The representative Tanyarat Petcharat was very warm and extremely hospitable and smiling. She seamlessly processed my request and helped me with the car usage. Extremely happy with their quality of car and their service. Highly recommended.
